The research focus encompasses alloy design, specifically targeting advanced high-strength steels for automotive and cryogenic applications, as well as multifunctional alloys including self-healing materials and alloys for aerospace and satellite technology. Additionally, the research delves into fundamental phenomena in physical metallurgy, such as hydrogen embrittlement, low-temperature embrittlement, damage tolerant microstructural degisn, and grain boundary engineering.
Actively engaged in peer review for journals such as Acta Materialia, Scripta Materialia, Materials Characterization, Metals and Materials International, Journal of Materials Science and Engineering, Scientific Reports, Materials Science and Engineering A, Journal of Materials Science and Technology, and Corrosion Science.
